Margaret (Moncrease) Gladstone-Colvin, age 65, of New Haven,
entered into eternal life on Dec. 21, 2015. Cherished mother of Elesia of
Hamden, Bridget of Kinston NC, Pam of West Haven, Shaunya of New Haven, and
Sabrina Moncrease of Hamden. Margaret was born on May 27, 1950 in Castleberry,
AL the beloved daughter of the late John and Louise (Gross) Moncrease. She was
the devoted wife of the late Carl (Curley) Colvin. Margaret also leaves behind
3 sisters Ella (Thomas) Gore, Joel Moncrease, Gloria (Gregory) Thompson and 5
brothers John Jr. (Carrie), James (Gloria), Douglas, Richard (Yolanda), Michael
(Shyretta) Moncrease. Was predeceased by siblings Joseph, Daniel, and Mary
Moncrease. Also survived by 8 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Wednesday
Dec. 30, 2015 in Ebenezer Chapel, 50 Dwight St New Haven at 11 O’clock. Viewing
in church from 10-11am. Interment will follow in the family plot in Evergreen
Cemetery.
