James “Jim” Ronald Zarro, 63, a lifelong resident of
Hamden, entered into eternal rest on December 12th, surrounded by
his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 17,
1953, the son of the late Alphonse and Elvira (Pascale) Zarro, he spent the
past 43 years with his beloved wife, Maryann (Carbone) Zarro. He was the
cherished father of James (Kate) Zarro of Seymour, and Michael (Diana) Zarro of
Hamden and the loving brother of Ronald (Elaine) Zarro of Clinton, and Debbie
(Joseph) Vermiglio of Hamden. He was a loved uncle to 6 nieces and nephews and
was affectionately known as Grampa Z by Madison Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC. Jim began his career as a mechanic and retired from
the Town of Hamden as a Supervisor after 26 years. He worked a second career
with the Greater New Haven WPCA as an inspector for the past 11 years. He had a
love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and Nascar. He was a good friend to many and will be
missed dearly.
His funeral procession will leave Colonial, 86
Circular Ave., on Friday December 16, 2016 at 9:30 am. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 am.
Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. CALLING HOURS at Colonial Thursday evening from 4-7pm. Condolences
