Edward “Booie” Shanks Jr., age 42, of North Branford formally of East Haven, entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2015. He was born on June 30, 1972 in New Haven to Karen Pulit Shanks and the late Edward Albert Shanks Sr. Husband of Lisa Massaro Shanks. Survived by three sisters Kimberly Shanks, Tracy (Andrew) Ferraro, Melissa (Russell) Kieslich, one brother, Michael Shanks and his step dad Nick Juhasz. He leaves behind a son, Edward P. Shanks. Predeceased by one sister, Deborah Shanks Rivera. He was the owner of Booie’s Landscaping of East Haven for over 20 years. He was a great man who was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Ave., Hamden with Rev. George Manukas officiating at 11 O’clock. Interment will follow in the Shanks Family Plot in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Calling hours will be Monday at Colonial Funerals from 4-8pm.
