Herman Lee Chatman, age 77, of Hamden, entered into eternal life on Friday February 17, 2017. The loving husband of Shirley (Johnson) Chatman for 43 years of Hamden. Cherished father of Zelda Pickett of New Haven and Faith (Edward) Smith of Hamden. Predeceased by one son Jonathan Pickett.
A Celebration of Herman’s life will be held on Thursday February 23, 2017 in Union Temple FWB Church, 54 Platt St., New Haven at 11:30am. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery in Hamden. Visitation will be held on Wednesday night at Colonial, 86 Circular Ave. Hamden from 5-7pm. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
