The Peters family mourns the passing of Harold R. Peters. Proper name Harold Ransom Stanley Siegizman Peters of New Haven entered into eternal life on March 4, 2016 at 70 years of age. Born on Sept. 26, 1945, in New Haven to the late Harold and Martha (Spencer) Peters. He leaves behind a loving wife; Georgette Peters, 4 children; Khadijah, Naomi, Khalif, Khalil, and 14 beautiful grandchildren. His life was a colorful and adventurous story. Beginning with a beautiful family of 6 sisters and one brother. He worked many years in the printing industry in companies from Norwalk to North Haven and Branford. Being a talented singer and musician, he studied and learned the fine art of piano tuning and became a well-known piano tuner and technician with clients from New York to Massachusetts. He also had a very competitive spirit which he exercised and enjoyed in New England horseshoe tournaments. He belonged to both the New Haven and Shelton Horseshoe Leagues. He played in many local and world tournaments collecting many trophies and stories. Stories to remind you of the bright side of life. He had a wonderful ability to make you feel comfortable no matter who you were, or where you came from or your ethnicity, even conversing with you in your native tongue. He was an avid linguist. We celebrate his 70 years of love and zest for life and we want to continue to remember his truthful wisdom. Many acquaintances did he make and he will be missed.
