Scott Adam Carey Sr., age 58, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2016 at YNHH from cancer. Born on June 12, 1957, the beloved son of the late Robert and Helen (Traub) Carey Sr. Cherished father of Scott Jr. and Christopher Carey both of New Haven. Loving brother of Melinda (Rudy) Trutneau of New Haven and Robert (Nancy) Carey of Hamden. Also leaves behind a very special cousin Adam Traub of New Haven. Predeceased by one daughter Tabitha Vincent. Scott was an avid baseball fan especially of the Yankees. He also was a master mechanic.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday May 6, 2016 in St. Francis Church, 397 Ferry St. New Haven at 10 O’clock. Visitation will be held at Colonial, 86 Circular Ave. Hamden from 8-9:30am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The ALS Assn. 1275 K Street NW- Suite 250 Washington, DC 20005. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
