Helen M. Best Swindell, 86, of Hamden, entered eternal life
on Feb 19, 2015. Born on March 30, 1928 in Goldsboro, NC. to the late Jim Scott
and Ruth Best. Beloved wife to the late Leslie Atkinson. Cherished mother of
Ronald (Anna London-Abdullah) Atkinson of Hamden. Leaves behind grandson Andre (DeAnna)
Atkinson of M.D. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren DaMarea and DeAndrea
Atkinson, and Keegan Hardy all of M.D., Cousins John (Lee) Best and family of Hamden,
and a host of relatives.
A celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Wed. Feb. 25,
2015 in Colonial 86 Circular Ave. Hamden at 6p.m. with Minister Charles Blango
